SCRIPT INTENSIVES
Develop your creative instruments through a rigorous exploration and rehearsal of classical texts
During the two streams of Script Intensives, students will develop their creative instruments through a rigorous exploration and rehearsal of classical texts, including Shakespeare and classical Greek text and contemporary material from modern playwrights.
The course integrates various acting methodologies, including Stanislavski, Uta Hagen, Strasberg, Laban, and Meisner, providing a nuanced approach to character development, scene work and performance.
Monologue Intensive
The Monologue Intensive course is a comprehensive program designed to immerse students in the performance and mastery of classical and contemporary monologues.
Students will engage in physical and vocal warm-ups, text analysis, and performance workshops, culminating in a showcase where they present both classical and contemporary monologues.
Additionally, the course emphasises audition techniques, offering practical experience in mock auditions and personalised feedback. Through active participation, students will refine their stage presence, technical skills, and audition strategies, preparing them for a wide range of theatrical opportunities.
Scene Work Intensive
The Scene Work Intensive course offers a deep dive into both classical and contemporary scenes, designed to enhance students’ performance skills.
Through detailed text analysis, physical and vocal training, and ensemble exercises, students will work collaboratively to bring scenes to life.
The course also focuses on practical audition techniques, including cold reading and on-the-spot adjustments, with mock auditions and individual feedback to refine presentation skills.
By the end of the term, students will have honed their ability to perform complex scenes, developed a strong stage presence, and gained valuable insights into the audition process, preparing them for a range of theatrical opportunities.
The Scene Work Intensive culminates in a public performance in our black box theatre.
