The National Theatre Melbourne: Celebrating a rich history, nurturing a bright future

The National Theatre Melbourne is a not-for-profit organisation; we rely on the generosity of people like you to help us continue our work.

Help us conserve our heritage

Make a gift to our Building Fund to help us preserve the iconic National Theatre, a St Kilda landmark and cultural hub for close to 100 years. This heritage building has undergone several transformations since its initial opening in 1921,but has remained a stunning example of Classical Revival architecture. We are grateful to have the use of this historical building for educating future performers through our Ballet School and Drama School, and hosting community events. Your gift will enable us to share this beautiful building with many generations to come.

Support the future stars of stage and screen

The National Theatre Ballet and Drama Schools offer scholarships to gifted and dedicated students who may not otherwise be able to pursue professional studies. Donate now to our Scholarships Fund to give a young ballet dancer or thespian the experience of a lifetime, enabling them to hone their craft in one of Australia’s leading performing arts training institutions.

The National Theatre Melbourne is classified by the Australian Taxation Office as a charitable institution and is authorised to maintain an “Arts Education and Training Fund” and a “School Building Fund”, donations to which are tax deductible.

If you already have a will, you can simply add a supplement setting out your bequest instructions.

We recommend making out your gift for the general purposes of National Theatre. For further information, please contact the CEO on (03) 9534 0221, or via email: ceo@nationaltheatre.org.au
