An Australia first debut performance by international star of the Mariinsky Ballet Oleg Ignatev as the Nutcracker Prince & Cavalier.

The Nutcracker has long been one of the most delightful ways to discover the enchantment of ballet and makes for a sparkling festive treat for the whole family.

A story of magic on Christmas Eve, and the journey of Clara and her Nutcracker Prince. Enjoy a burst of vibrant colours, captivating choreography, exquisite costumes and grand sets and props, set to the magical score composed by Pyotr Ilych Tchaikovsky. This ballet captures the excitement of the Christmas festive season and the magic of Marius Petipa’s classic ballet. Showcasing the breadth of talent, our performance boasts an array of national & international guest artists supported by over 150 talented dancers from the Australian National Youth Ballet.
