Environment Minister Gwen Malkin announces on national radio a plan to block out the sun. That evening, a classic rock band plays to a packed Parliament House as a heavily armed group of eco-terrorists storm the building, take everyone hostage and demand Australia end carbon emissions. Tonight!
Part political satire, part action blockbuster, Kill Climate Deniers is a gleefully anarchic ride crashing somewhere between Die Hard and The Office. Explosions, outrageous comedy, a banging soundtrack and razor-sharp political commentary collide in David Finnigan’s wildly inventive play that asks: If we really believe climate change is an emergency, why aren’t we acting like it?
