In the midst of a bleak industrial world, two star-crossed lovers brim with colour and passion.
This original new production of William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet has been co-created by National Ballet School Artistic Director Damian Smith and the National Drama School’s Director of Drama Dr Jo Loth.
The production brings together the powerful words of Shakespeare with Sergei Prokofiev’s stirring composition in a performance that combines acting and dance to tell the tragic story of the young lovers. It will be performed by students from the National Ballet and Drama Schools alongside pre-professional alumni and guest performers.
