Was here for avenue Q. Staff were helpful and seating was comfortable for a 2 hr show... bar prices were reasonable.

Lovely venue and love the shows that they put on - so good. Good views of the stage and very convenient location!Only giving 4 stars because I am a size 8 woman and I was feeling pretty squished in the seats, so I feel it may be inaccessible to people with larger builds.

Always great to see new and classic theatre here.Hopefully one day… they might install new ‘comfy’ seats (in keeping with the classic look of the National)

Beautiful old theatre with some stunning architectural details. Currently the main entrance and front facade is under construction and enter from Barkly st.I found the seats comfortable and appreciated the rise so that even with a tall person sitting in front of you, the stage is still highly visible. It was confusing to go up 2 seperate flights of stairs to reach the front stalls, but the building has a unique design, also incorpating an upstairs bar and relaxation zone with numerous seating zones.

Great place and centrally located - so lucky to have this as an option instead of having to travel into the Melbourne CBDI recently saw THE BOY FROM OZ here in July 24.The inside of the theatre auditorium needs some desperate work for comfort of patrons - hopefully the more it’s used, the money will come in to do some much needed seat / stairs renovations

Sound of Music the musical was a great experience of nostalgia, childhood and cheery family fun.The theatre itself has simple old charms, though fairly shabby and by no means universally accessible with plenty of steep steps to get to the loo and your designated seats.
