Let your imagination run wild! Build up a gallery of characters and the worlds they inhabit. Improvise scenes, write short plays and try new forms of theatre. You decide! Get into the play of drama and challenge your imagination and creativity. Open your mind and let your imagination out as you sharpen your performance skills and explore different theatrical forms. Use your body, voice and mind to delve into untold stories and brand new characters.

This high-energy workshop will help you get the acting knack. Get your body, voice and mind moving as you create new and scripted theatrical scenarios. Adventure into strange new worlds and inhabit imaginary and real characters. Boost your performance and theatre skills in this semester long workshop. Find something to say through the medium of theatre, devise and develop your own theatre performance to be presented to your friends and family.

Want to be in front of the camera? You've seen the TV shows and movies - now get ready to do it yourself. Find out all you need to know about acting when you step in front of the camera. Shoot scripts and learn to analyse your on-screen performance. Get a taste for the film industry. Devise and shoot a short film project, develop screen audition and acting techniques and work on film scripts.

If you can talk you can sing. Spend the term with Industry professionals as they explore the ins and outs of Music Theatre. From Pippin to Rent, workshop the skills needed for this exciting and popular art form. Got the writing bug? Want to create your own play script? Learn about character development, structure, dialogue and genre. A hands on study in creating a theatrical document. Be the launching point for new and exciting youth theatre!

Scott Gooding

Scott Gooding has been a director, actor and tutor for over 16 years. He has worked for many of Melbournes theatre companies and has been running courses in filmmaking, animation and acting throughout the city. Scott is also Artistic Director of Vicious Fish Theatre.

   

Kathy Lucas

Kathy graduated from The University of Ballarat Academy of Performing Arts in 1997 and has since worked professionally in the industry as an actor, singer, tutor, producer and director with La Mama, MTC, Playbox, Keene-Taylor, Chapel Off Chapel and other independent companies. She continues to work professionally in theatre, film, TV and voice. Kathy has a passion and enthusiasm for tutoring and performance.

Mikhaela Musat

Mikhaela has worked as an Actor/Dancer/Director and Producor for the last 7 years. She studied a BA of contemporary Drama and Dance at Deakin University , and is the Director of her company 'Think C.O.N.T.E.M.P.' promoting independant contemporary artists.

Elena Pellone

Elena Pellone started out acting in her parent's Italian and Greek theatre companies. As a teenager she trained at the National Theatre and worked in a youth theatre company founded by one of the teachers. Elena studied acting at Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts. Since graduating she has worked professionally in theatre, TV and voice. Elena also teaches music.

Rosie Traynor

Rosie Traynor has been a casting consultant for Stingers, Blue Heelers, Crash Palace, Water Rats, Balmain Boys, and several tvcs, and in 2002 The Rotting Woman (short film). In 2005 -2007 she worked with JM Agency as a talent agent. As a drama coach she has worked for Pirate Islands, Blue Heelers, The Sound of Music and Annie. She has been a tutor with the National Theatre Drama School, St Kilda for the past 8 years.
